A comprehensive tome on probably the most controversial occult figure of the 20th century, this book looks into Crowley's life and magical techniques and taking them as a blueprint becomes a study book to be used for serious students of magick. Definitely not for beginners.

This neopagan classic is a must-read. This collection of the Italian Strega tradition had a huge impact on both Neopaganism in general, and Wicca in particular. The book is an anthropological one, Leland merely collects the stories and presents them, allowing the reader to experiment for themselves.

Make no mistake, this collection is by no means THE Book of Shadows that's passed down from initiate to initiate of the Gardnerian Wicca tradition. however, this is probably the best group of texts if one wishes to get a feel for traditional Wicca. The book contains texts that are very similar in both style and ambiance.
